PatcH2O: Composed of a unique polysaccharide mesh, PatcH2O™ is a new technology, which controls the release of active hydrating agents to provide immediate hydration and to prolong the effect for up to 5 days.

Pullulan: It contains complex sugars known as polysaccharides, which makes it a good water-binding agent (i.e. hydration) and antioxidant in skin care products. It is proven to work well as a “carrier” for other skin care actives, effectively delivering the ingredients where they need to go. Additionally, pullulan has the potential to help with strengthening skin’s microbiome. It can provide as well a subtle yet visible lifting effect owing to its non-irritating film-forming properties.

Effect of UV radiation on the skin

The UV rays destroy capillaries, fibroblasts, and cell proteins. In the dermis, UV causes cleavage of collagen at higher rates than those of chronological aging. Sunlight destroys collagen fiber, resulting in the accumulation of defective elastin. When this elastin is increased in quantity, generated metalloproteinases (enzymes) increase in larger quantities. In normal conditions, these enzymes repair the “wounded” skin from sun, by constructing and reconstructing collagen.

As the name suggests, a buildable foundationcan be layered to provide full coverage without looking heavy and cakey on the skin. A buildable foundation usually starts out with a sheer, medium or natural-looking finish that can then be built up to your desired layer or coverage.

What is HA and why we need it?

Hyalouronic Acid (HA) is the natural gel between skin cells that serves as a water reservoir for the cells. As we age, skin loses hyaluronic acid and the ability to hold sufficient water in this reservoir. Feeding new hyaluronic acid to skin may help hydrate skin’s intercellular reservoir, raising skin’s moisture level, and smoothing down age lines.
